Education is our flagship project, through which we have positively impacted the lives of over 18,050 students across four states in India. Shikshalaya, our free learning center, has been operational for four successful years. Beginning in 2014, we initially supported underprivileged children by funding their tuition fees and conducting informal classes in volunteers’ homes. By 2019, our first formal learning center was established in Najafgarh, New Delhi, India. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we adapted by launching E-Shikshalaya. Many families lacked access to digital devices, with either no smartphones or only one device used by the working family member. To address this, we distributed tablet phones to families, enabling children to continue their education. Today, our education centers in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh continue to thrive. Almost 750 students have passed out from our centers and are doing exceptionally well; some are employed, and one has even opened his own cyber center. Students who join our centers become part of the Raise India Foundation family, where we celebrate cultural events and festivals together. Our focus extends beyond academic development to encompass holistic growth. We offer personality development classes, yoga, physical education, and computer classes, aiming to nurture skilled individuals capable of reshaping their futures and impacting their families positively.
"Menstruation is not a problem, poor menstrual hygiene is”Inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's call to action on India's 74th Independence Day, we launched the campaign "Chuppi Todo - Sharam Nahi Samman." This initiative seeks to address the alarming statistic that only 36% of women in India have access to sanitary pads, leaving millions to resort to unhygienic alternatives like husk or dirty clothes. Poor menstrual hygiene not only leads to infections but also contributes to the high rate of school dropouts among girls, denying them their right to education. At Raise India Foundation, we are committed to breaking the silence surrounding menstruation and providing support to women in need. Through our campaign, we distribute Dignity Kits to female construction workers at industrial sites across Delhi and the National Capital Region. These kits include essential hygiene and sanitary items tailored to the specific needs of women and girls in each community, including 15 sanitary pads, undergarments, detergent soap, bathing soap, and a towel. But our efforts extend beyond distribution. We conduct events and workshops that focus on menstrual hygiene and combatting the stigma associated with menstruation. In 2024, we have expanded our reach to slum areas, where we not only distributed Dignity Kits but also install pad vending machines and incinerators to promote proper sanitation practices.
At Raise India Foundation, our commitment to serving the community spans decades. One of our longstanding initiatives, the Kambal Udhao Zindagi Bachao campaign, continues to touch the lives of those in need, providing warmth and comfort during the harsh winter months.
In 2023, we embarked on the latest edition of our Kambal Udhao Zindagi Bachao campaign, focusing on the streets of Dwarka, New Delhi. Our mission was clear: to offer relief to individuals enduring the bitter cold without shelter or basic amenities. Beginning with street distributions, we provided blankets to those living on the roadside, offering protection from the chilling temperatures.
Our efforts didn't stop with street distributions. We ventured into the slums, visiting families who had migrated to Delhi in search of livelihood opportunities. Door-to-door, we distributed blankets, spreading warmth and compassion to those in need. Additionally, we brought gifts and candies for the children, aiming to bring smiles amidst challenging circumstances.
Beyond the distribution of material aid, our campaign fostered meaningful connections within the community. We took the time to listen to their stories, sharing moments of empathy and understanding. Through these interactions, Kambal Udhao Zindagi Bachao transcended mere charity, becoming a beacon of hope and solidarity.
One of the highlights of our campaign is our yearly visit to AIIMS Delhi, a tradition we uphold with reverence, especially on New Year's Day. This visit holds special significance as we interact with families facing hardships while seeking medical care. Despite their struggles, we strive to bring warmth and care, showcasing our genuine concern for their well-being.
During our visit to AIIMS, we extended our efforts to include Safdarjung Hospital, ensuring that our support reached as many people as possible. By covering multiple healthcare facilities, we emphasized the importance of supporting those facing adversity, both medically and socially.
Kambal Udhao Zindagi Bachao is more than a campaign; it's a testament to our commitment to making a difference in the lives of those who need it most. Through acts of kindness and solidarity, we strive to uplift spirits and spread hope, one blanket at a time.
"My name is Roshni. I am in the sixth grade. Recently, my father passed away, and my mother works very hard as a laborer to support our family. Our financial situation is not stable. Despite the challenges, I have a great passion for learning. I want to receive a higher education and secure a good-paying job to support my mother. Thanks to the Raise India Foundation, I have the opportunity to pursue my education here, where I not only study academic subjects but also engage in sports, yoga, and various activities.
Moreover, I receive a moral education which is invaluable. The teachers here show me a lot of love and support. I am provided with essential items like bags, notebooks, pens, uniforms, and shoes. Every festival and occasion is celebrated with great enthusiasm, and we are treated to delicious treats like pastries, burgers, samosas, and juice. The support I received here has helped me pursue my education and has made a significant difference in my life."

My name is Chandni, and I'm in the fourth grade. My dad works as a laborer, and we have always faced financial difficulties. He can't afford to send me to school, but I want to educate myself and help my family later on by becoming an engineer.
Luckily, when I was in second grade, my parents enrolled me in the Raise India Foundation's Shikshalya. It was a big change for me. Here, I get to learn for free and also get extra help with my studies after school.
I love going to Shikshalya because it's not just about studying. I've made friends, learned new skills, and had lots of fun during festivals. It's made my dream of becoming an engineer feel possible, and I'm grateful for that."

Hello, my name is Raju, and I'm in the fourth grade. I attend a local government school in Najafgarh, Delhi. My brother is my role model; he sparked my interest in computers. But my father works as a daily wage laborer, and sometimes it's tough for us to even have two meals a day, so we can't afford private lessons. Our school doesn't offer computer classes either. Fortunately, for the past two years, I've been part of the Raise India Foundation.
Here, we are given computer classes for free, and they are my favorite part of the day. I dream of becoming skilled in computers one day. The projector makes learning fun, and here we not only learn subjects but also important life skills. We have interactive sessions, play educational games, and even practice yoga. Being here feels like home, and I'm grateful for their support on my journey ahead.

I'm Bhagyashali, currently in the fifth grade. My father sells sweets for a living. When we left our village, I faced rejection from every school I applied to, and affording a private education was out of the question. My grandparents, with their traditional mindset, suggested I leave school and focus on learning skills like cooking and stitching, meant to prepare me for marriage someday. But my journey took a different turn when I found the Raise India Foundation.
Over the past two years, I've not only learned reading and writing here but also yoga and practical skills like computer basics. Through regular PTMs, sessions, and workshops, my family's perspective on education is changing. They've become more supportive, and now my father dreams of me becoming a doctor or a teacher one day.
Raise India Foundation has been a lifeline for me, nurturing my passion for social welfare and human development."
